In my opinion, Titanic is one of the greatest Special Effects films ever made. Come along with me on a voyage of discovery......
This would have to be one of the best movies that I have ever had the privilege of watching. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and you will almost feel as if you too, are on the RMS Titanic the night she disappeared beneath the North Atlantic Ocean.
Director James Cameron takes us on a rollercoaster ride of thrills and spills, the likes of which we could never have imagined. Although the ill-fated maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic is the backdrop of this cinemagraphic masterpiece, the love story between poor-little rich-girl Rose and the free-spirited artist Jack is breathtaking, making you want to believe in love at first sight.

Rose is completely disillusioned with her life as an aristocrat. She feels as if life will suffocate her if she doesn't escape soon. After trying to jump from the back of the ship, only to be saved by Jack, she is even more confused as she is pulled by convention and what her heart desires.
"I saw my whole life as if I'd already lived it...an endless parade of parties and cotillions, yachts and polo matches...always the same narrow people, the same mindless chatter. I felt like I was standing at the edge of a great precipice, with no one to pull me back, no one who cared...or even noticed."
Rose starts to spend more time with Jack, learning about how easy his life is. Slowly Rose comes to realise that she is falling in love with Jack.
To reward Jack for saving the life of his fiancee, Cal invites him to dinner in the first class dining room, and with the help of Molly brown (Kathy Bates), Jack scrubs up pretty well, Enforcing the statement from Cal
After dinner, the "gentlemen" retire to the smoking room and the ladies are left to gossip. Jack excuses himself from these events and as he says goodbye to Rose, he slips her a note asking her to join him. She meets up with Jack and he shows her how the "other half" live, taking her down to steerage where Rose enjoys the partying of the third class passengers.
It is late the next evening that the ship hits the iceberg and the real drama begins. This is where not even the most bored person can help but be swept up in the drama unfolding before their very eyes. As you lean forward and cheer people on, your heart is always in your throat all the way through until the end. This is where the drama really begins.
